Fitness Programs

 

SILVER SNEAKERS FITNESS- Is a fun-filled physical fitness program designed specifically for senior citizens and is provided by Preferred Care. The classes are "go at your own pace", which means YOU decide whether to sit or stand during excersizes and choose the intensity of your tools. Not only will Silver Sneakers improve your health, but it will also create great opportunities to get to know people and have tons of fun with our exclusive social events!

STRETCH AND STRENGTH- This class combines Pilates with standard dance stretches. It targets each muscle group and tones the muscle. Once you are warmed up, it is the best time to stretch out your tendons. If you want to get into shape but you also would like to take a structured dance class, then this is the class for you.

ZUMBA - Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin moves and music, that results in a total body workout that will have you wanting more! This is a workout that is so different and fun, you won't even realize you're working out! Zumba Fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life! One Zumba class allows you to burn between 500 and 1,000 calories! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.


Some Fitness/Dance Programs will be run through the Ontario Parks and Recreation Department.

Classes will be tailored to the group's needs.
