Danielle Colombo (Drama Instructor) is a 19 year old Sophomore Musical Theater Major at Nazareth College. She has been studying Voice for the past 11 years, 3 of which she spent studying at the Eastman School Of music under Cecile Saine, where she was runner up in the Divarian vocal completion. She has danced for 15 years and most recently at SIU artistic center as a comp Student, the University at Buffalo and Nazareth College. She was a member of the Webster Schroeder Show Choir for 4 years and has won several awards for best Soloist in a Show choir (NYC show choir competition, Festivals of music competition in Toronto). She also participated in a Nyssma solo-fest for 7 years, all county choruses, Area All-State, the Christmas pops Concert at Eastman and was a featured soloist in the New York State Conference All State Women's Choir. She won the Monroe county fair talent completion in 2005, and several other vocal competitions. She also has a great love of theater, some of her favorite roles include: Batboy the musical (Mrs. Taylor), Urinetown (soupy sue), The Wiz (The wiz), Seussical (Gertrude), The Green Rose (Rose), and Joseph and the Amazing Techni-Coloered Dream Coat (Narrator). She will soon be seen as Donna Lucia in Nazareth colleges Production of Where's Charley. Also for acting, she has studied under Vincent O'Neil, Tim McCormick, currently Donald Kot for acting/ vocal performance and also took a vocal performance class at the Broadway Dance Center in NYC. She also Asst. directed the theater classes at SIU last spring and asst. directed The Wiz this summer. In her spare time, she is the lead singer of the Greater Rochester Jazz Ensemble, performs in benefits for equity fights aids, writes and records her own music, and has performed the National anthem for the past 5 years at Several local/National Sporting events including: The Amerks, Redwings, Knight Hawks, Rattlers, Rhinos, Lady Rhinos, The robotics convention, The Sabers, and the first Sabers game ever played in Rochester.
