Becky Sproul (Dance Instructor), a native of New Gloucester, Maine, recently earned her B.A. in Dance from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. Becky will be teaching competition level Jazz, Lyrical and Tap, along with Ballet and Pointe at Strike It Up this fall. Aside from being a teacher she is also a performer and choreographer, most recently performing in works by David Dorfman, Anne Burnidge, and Charles Gushue. Last spring Becky produced No More the Lowing, a dance concert event, with long time friend and colleague Caitlin Quigley. Most notably in the past year Becky has studied under the instruction of famed dance historian Ann Hutchinson Guest as well as Mino Nicolas in restaging both Nijinsky's L'Après-midi d'un Faune and Doris Humphrey's Libation Bearers. Currently, Becky is working towards her M.F.A. in Dance at the State University of New York College at Brockport and is very excited to join the Strike It Up Artistic Center.
